Dear colleagues,

Welcome to DAC 2018

The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Series as “Diabetes Asia 2018” Conference held annually since 2002 aims to help improve management of diabetes with emphasis on recent advances and practical aspects of diabetes care.

Participants are expected to be able to:
  • Appreciate recent advances and practical aspects of diabetes care
  • Understand ways of ensuring early diagnosis and optimal management for good control of diabetes, its complications and associated diseases
  • Apply knowledge gained during the Conference to further improve care for persons with diabetes in the community

This year's conference (DAC 2018) is held for the second occasion in the iconic Borneo Centre in Kuching (BCCK). It is also the first time that DAC 2018 is conducted back to back to the sister conference - the Diabetes Complications & Grand Rounds (DCOM 2018), to be held from 24th to 25th July 2018.

Looking forward to welcoming all delegates to Kuching, Sarawak. While attending the conference, delegates may also want to explore the exotic flora and fauna of Sarawak, on this "mysterious" island of Borneo.

Emeritus Professor Dato' Dr Mustaffa Embong
Chairman, Organizing Committee, DAC 2018
